Could you run this software yourself?
Bring a costly software bill or a frustrating business workflow. We’ll explore whether Claude Code or another coding AI could help you create a focused tool, what affordable hosting might cost, and what it takes to own and maintain the result.
- Map one workflow and what it depends on: people, data, integrations and exceptions.
- Understand the pieces: coding AI, code repository, hosting, database, domain and backups.
- Talk through realistic costs, ongoing care and whether an existing product is still the better fit.
This is an educational conversation, not a build quote or promise of savings. If custom software would add more risk or work than it removes, we’ll say so.
What we can cover in 30 minutes
- Choose a bounded workflow. What goes in, what comes out, who uses it and what can go wrong?
- Sketch a stack you could own. Coding AI helps with code; your accounts hold the repository, database, domain, hosting and backups.
- Compare the real trade-offs. Include AI usage, hosting, integrations, security, maintenance and the time someone must spend looking after it.
Do I need to send a bill or contract?
No. Start with the vendor name and approximate monthly cost. We may ask you to verify a plan detail later, but don’t send invoices, account credentials or private records through this form.
Does a coding AI build a complete system by itself?
No. These tools can help a person write and change code, but someone still needs to specify the workflow, review the code, test edge cases and maintain the system. The consultation is about understanding that work before you commit.
Is cheap hosting the whole cost?
No. Hosting can be inexpensive for a focused application, but the total may include AI usage, database and storage, email and text messages, payment fees, backups, monitoring and maintenance time.
Should every business replace its SaaS tools?
No. A mature product may be safer and cheaper when it handles complex compliance, support, integrations or reliability needs. A focused internal workflow is often a better place to explore custom software than a mission-critical platform replacement.
Do you sell or build the software?
The free conversation explains the approach and helps you assess fit, costs and responsibilities. It is not a paid implementation offer or a promise that a replacement will be built.
