Roofing software should be compared by the stage of work it handles. Roofr and AccuLynx describe roofing sales and operational workflows; ArcSite separates drawing, takeoff and estimating capabilities by plan. Start with the weakest handoff in your business, then verify measurements, proposal versions, crew access and total cost before choosing a platform or commissioning a build.
Roofing software can cover several different jobs: capturing a lead, measuring the roof, preparing a proposal and coordinating production. Compare those jobs separately before treating one tool as a replacement for another.
What the software costs—and where your margin can improve.
Start with the bill and one costly workflow. The comparison is straightforward: recurring software costs you can actually remove, minus the hosting, AI, integrations and upkeep a replacement needs. Time saved is a separate gain, and only becomes margin when the business can use it.

A focused tool · under your control
Pay for the parts this workflow needs.
One time: map the rules, build, test edge cases, move only the data needed and train the people who use it.
Each month: affordable hosting, coding-AI usage, any database or integrations, backups and maintenance. Price these for the actual application; a $0 or low hosting tier is not the total cost.
You control: the code repository, domain, data and service accounts. Someone on your side owns updates, access, recovery and support.
MarginVendor costs removed − the replacement’s full monthly operating cost.
Admin timeFirst target: Lead qualification. What details does the estimator need before calling: address, job type, urgency, photos or access notes?
Business valueDurable, documented margin can strengthen a business; buyers still assess risk and whether someone else can run the workflow.
The exact replacement cost depends on scope and usage. Bring your invoice and one frustrating task; we’ll map what can stay, what could be owned and the costs to verify.
These terms appear in the same research category. Check your specific workflow before treating products as interchangeable.

Fit notes are our assessment of the linked vendor descriptions, not hands-on product reviews. Feature sources checked Sep 30, 2026; pricing records below retain their own dates.
This is a synthetic demo script for comparing products and scoping custom work. It does not claim any vendor has passed or failed it.
Create a customer with two properties. Open one roofing job at the second property and attach a sample inspection and measurement reference.
Create an initial proposal, then a revised proposal with a different material choice. Mark only the revised version as accepted. Check that the initial version is preserved rather than silently overwritten.
Hand the job to a crew account. Ask the crew to identify the property, accepted materials, access instructions and scheduled date without calling the salesperson.
Move the job after a weather delay and add a change request. Check the customer communication and the approved scope separately; a new note should not silently change the contract or amount due.
A useful sample export includes contacts, properties, jobs, job stages, tasks and document references. Verify how proposal revisions, photos and measurement reports are delivered; they may sit outside a contact CSV. Map original job IDs before importing anything. Reconcile open jobs by stage, check the accepted proposal for a sample of jobs and ask staff to find their next scheduled work. Preserve an agreed archive for older records that do not need to become editable on day one.
Where a first build could stop
A first build could join enquiries, customer records and production handoffs. Treat licensed measurements, specialist estimating, financing and accounting connections as distinct dependencies. A better enquiry page can feed an existing CRM while the team proves whether a larger replacement is worthwhile.
Workflow documentation checked Oct 1, 2026. Pricing tables elsewhere on this page retain their own capture dates. The demo scripts and migration guidance are our proposed evaluation method, not hands-on vendor reviews.

What to keep
Aerial measurement reports and insurance-claim workflow are real dependencies. Keep the tool that does them, whether that's Roofr, AccuLynx or JobNimbus.
What to verify
Ask providers to demonstrate this workflow using your edge cases. Check which plan includes each step, what costs extra and how your records can be exported.

Is roofing CRM software the same as estimating software?
No. A CRM organizes customers, opportunities and job progression. Estimating uses measurements, quantities, materials and labor to prepare a price or proposal. Products can combine these jobs, but you should test each workflow and the handoff between them on the plan you would purchase.
What should I migrate when replacing a roofing CRM?
Start with contacts, properties, open jobs, job stages and tasks, preserving their relationships. Check photos, measurement reports and accepted proposal revisions separately. Reconcile the active production schedule before switching and agree how historical jobs will remain accessible.
What software do roofing contractors use?
Roofr and AccuLynx describe broader roofing workflows; ArcSite focuses on drawing, takeoffs and estimates. Compare the specific tasks, plan access and handoffs you need. These are sourced options to investigate, not a tested ranking.
Can a custom website work alongside my roofing CRM?
It may. Start with an enquiry and a staff-reviewed handoff, then confirm the API, integration access or import options on your actual plan before promising live synchronization.
How much does roofing software cost?
Roofr runs from $0 a month (plus $19 per measurement report) to $349 a month for Scale, billed monthly, with unlimited users on every plan. AccuLynx and JobNimbus don't publish prices. Add-ons like the $149 Instant Estimator and the $99 website push the bill higher.
Does Roofr include a website?
Not in the base plans. Roofr Sites is a $99 a month add-on billed monthly, and the Instant Estimator quoting widget is another $149 a month.
How much do roofing marketing agencies charge?
Most don't publish prices: Hibu, Scorpion, LocaliQ and Hook Agency all quote on request. Footbridge Media publishes $249 a month with no contract, covering a website, local SEO, review management and an online scheduler.
